That in accordance with Bylaw-485, If Utility Accounts are in arrears on December 20th in any year, the amount will be added to the tax roll of the respective parcels of land and become taxes owing to the municipality. The amount will be come subject to penalties.

Q: Will I still be charged the garbage charge even if I take my own garbage to the Daysland transfer station?

A: Yes, monthly garbage and environmental charges will apply. The town is charged for garbage and landfill csts on a per capita basis from Flagstaff Waste Management.

Q: Will the town be replacing the water and sewer lines on 58th Street in 2010?

A: Daysland Council is considering less costly and less disruptive options to underground improvements. One option that is being considered is to closely examine and repair any critical areas of sewer main lines with a fiberglass liner that is inserted like a sleeve and then cured in place. For water services, we are looking at testing each curbstop valve to ensure that it can be isolated to stop water flow. Only failing valves will be replaced.
